The Big Event is an annual community service event hosted by Pittsburg State University's Student Government Association. Hundreds of student organization members come together to complete free yardwork for those who may not have the ability to do so on their own.

Several student organizations on the PSU Campus participate in the Big Event, which can count for service points or simply provide a way to engage with the community.
Pittsburg State University's Student Government Association spends months planning and raising funds for this event each year. SGA acts as a voice for members of the PSU community and meets regularly to discuss ways to improve campus life.
